New job posting – Regional Field Organizer, Region 3

Are you wanting to make a direct difference in the struggle for full inclusion of LGBT people in the life of the church? Are you looking for a paid position that lets you use your people, organizing, pastoral, and hortatory skills in service of the Spirit-led mission to free all people from the human-induced oppression that seeks to separate them from the love of God and the redemption of Christ? Then, you should continue reading…

LC/NA wants to fill the first of what will be several Regional Field Organizer positions. The first position will serve in Region 3 (Minnesota, North and South Dakota). The job is to increase the number of RIC congregations and organizations, to deepen the postures of welcome of existing RIC settings, to increase the number of volunteers trained and working in faith-base community organizing, to network strategically to achieve systemic change within this region of the ELCA, all towards a church that truly lives Christ's welcome to people of all sexual orientations and gender identities.

Your cup of tea? Exactly what you would like to be doing in service to Christ, your peers, and the church?

Then, you need to go directly to www.lcna.org, click on the "Job / Volunteer Opportunities" button on the left and read the prospectus for the Region 3 Field Organizer position – and respond to it.

This is a position for a person who is self-starting, service-motivated, and bold, with strong initiative. The person we are seeking builds trust and rapport with people easily, engages others in a positive, grace-filled, professional demeanor, and responds to requirements in an appropriate and timely manner.

This position requires significant travel.

Appropriately qualified candidates for the position could be called and ordained by a coalition of RIC congregations for service in this position.

So, read the full position prospectus on our website, and, if the Spirit moves you, respond.
