| February 2, 2008 Study Guide for A Place Within My Walls now available A Place Within My Walls was developed as a devotional booklet for voting members attending the 2007 Churchwide Assembly of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) held in Chicago. It was distributed during the assembly to be a resource as the ELCA wrestled with the full inclusion of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people in the life and ministry of our church. A Study Guide has been developed to make use of A Place Within My Walls in a variety of settings. We all have our stories. Our stories connect with each other and with God. It is hoped that by reflecting on Scripture, sharing our stories, and seeing how they intersect, we will be better able to discern what the Holy Spirit is doing in our lives and in our church. The Study Guide is set up to be used in five different sessions, related to the five days of devotions in A Place Within My Walls, which can run about an hour and a half to two hours. Sessions are designed with an opening prayer, reflection on Scripture and devotion, reflection on stories, and a closing prayer. The Devotional booklet and Study Guide are available as a bundled item on the InfoX website of LC/NA. Or, you may order by calling the LC/NA office at 651-665-0861 or by email at infox@lcna.org. For quantities of 1–4, the cost is $2.50 each. For quantities of 5 or more, the cost is $1.70 each. There will be a $1 handling charge per order. If you have already purchased copies of A Place Within My Walls, and wish to order the Study Guide alone, please contact the LC/NA office.
