Come to Columbia, South Carolina for the second annual Reconciling In Christ “Weekend of Welcome.” Reformation Lutheran Church is eager to share the transforming and life-giving ministry which has resulted from becoming an RIC congregation, to encourage others to join in the RIC ministry, and to motivate and inspire both individuals and congregations in their ministry of hospitality and welcome to all in Jesus’ name.

Showing of Bullied – Friday, January 27, 7:00 pm
Held at Reformation Lutheran Church.
Film and discussion of Bullied: A Student, A School, and a Case that Made History,” a movie from the Southern Poverty Law Center’s “Teaching Tolerance” program.
Cost: free-will donation.
Preaching Workshop – Saturday, January 28, 9:00 am – Noon
Held at Reformation Lutheran Church.
“Preaching Public Issues,” with the Rev. Dr. Barbara Lundblad (Union Theological Seminary, New York) and the Rev. Dr. Shauna Hannan (Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary, Columbia, SC).
Cost: $25 ($10 for students) if registered and paid by January 6; $30 after January 6th and at the door.

Building an Inclusive Church Training – Saturday, January 28, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm.
Held at Reformation Lutheran Church.
This intense one-day training is great day for congregational teams and interested individuals to gain the basics of graceful engagement to deepen the welcome for people of all sexual orientations and gender identities and their families. Led by the Institute for Welcoming Resources and Lutherans Concerned/North America.

Celebration Worship - Sunday, January 29
Held at Reformation Lutheran Church.
Services at 9:00 am and 11:15 am. Barbara Lundblad preaching.
Second service followed at 12:30 by Covered dish brunch, fellowship, and entertainment.
